Until cancer quits, neither will we...
Debbie was recuperating from a hip replacement when she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in February 2018 after a routine screening mammogram.
Debbie's journey was no different than any cancer patient's... a whirlwind of appointments and co-pays, with mounting bills arriving for her treatments. We know that stress inhibits healing power, creating a barrier that blocks peace of mind. That's where we saw an opportunity to help.
Our mission with Miracles for Maria is to relieve some of the financial burden for those already immersed in the battle of their lives. Providing that helping hand when it's needed most allows patients to focus on what's most important... Winning that fight to become cancer free.
We can't cure our friends, but we help them through their journey.
Just last summer, Lillianna Sanchez was not unlike any other 6-year-old little girl. Bursting with enthusiasm, playing, running, keeping up with her big brother and looking forward summer vacation before starting first grade in the fall.
That’s when she began to experience uncommon episodes, stumbling, tripping and having issues with her motor skills. Little did the Sanchez family know, they were about to witness the rise of “Lillianna the Wonder Warrior”
Lillianna was diagnosed with inoperable Stage 4 glioblastoma, an aggressive type of cancer that infiltrates and invades nearby regions of the brain. This little warrior was in for the fight of her life.
Some say, “when a child has cancer, the whole family has cancer”. How true this family found that to be, locked in a frantic quest across the country, searching for hospitals that could offer answers, and perhaps even a ray of hope. The constant care Lillianna required kept her vigilant parents from being able to work, and from spending quality time with her young siblings.
Miracles for Maria reached out to the Sanchez’s to help provide some much needed assistance during their hardship. Your generous gift would ensure that we continue to help the family.
